FX Announces 'Atlanta' Season 2 Premiere Date
Get ready for ‘Robbin’ Season.’

A new episode of Atlanta hasn’t graced our screens since November of 2016, but Donald Glover’s acclaimed series is finally set to make a comeback in 2018.
Today, FX confirmed that Atlanta would be returning this year, setting an official premiere date for the acclaimed series. Dubbed Atlanta Robbin’ Season, the second set of episodes is slated to kick off on March 1 at 10 p.m. ET. And while FX hasn’t shed much light on what fans can expect from Robbin’ Season (other than potential appearances by “White Trash” and “Sketchy Mom”), series regulars Brian Tyree Henry, Lakeith Lee Stanfield and Zazie Beetz — not to mention Glover himself — are all slated to return.
Atlanta‘s lengthy hiatus was due in large part to Glover’s portrayal of a young Lando Calrissian in Ron Howard’s upcoming Han Solo-centric Star Wars spinoff, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and will have some big shoes to fill when it returns to FX in a couple of months: the beloved first season was a huge winner at last year’s Emmy Awards and saw Glover take home the prize for Best Directing for a Comedy Series, as well as the Emmy for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy.
