Ron Howard Teases a First Look of Donald Glover as Young Lando in 'Star Wars' Han Solo Movie
The Golden Globe winner heads to “a galaxy far, far away.”
The forthcoming Han Solo Star Wars spin-off is well underway — despite previous directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord stepping away from the project. Now with Ron Howard sitting in the director’s chair, he recently shared a first look at Donald Glover’s character in the film. Glover will be playing a Young Lando Calrissian (originated by Billy Dee Williams in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi), a smooth-talking smuggler and good buddies with Solo. Posted to Howard’s IG, the picture shows Glover-as-Lando on his director’s monitor.
