Directors of Untitled Han Solo 'Star Wars' Story Step Away During Shooting
Ron Howard in talks to take over.

Lucasfilm announced that Chris Miller and Phil Lord recently stepped away from directing the Han Solo standalone film partway through filming. It has been reported that the duo left the project due to “creative differences” just weeks before filming was set to finish. Additional reports note that Ron Howard and co-writer Lawrence Kasdan are both being considered to take over the film, but Howard is apparently the frontrunner. No official information just yet, but look for the yet to be named Han Solo Star Wars story to be released May 25, 2018.
