After delaying its December debut, Apple has announced its HomePod speaker will release February 9, with pre-orders starting January 26 in the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom. The music streaming speaker features Siri voice assistance which will allow users to send messages, set timers, play podcasts, control compatible smart home products, and more without the use of an iPhone.

Apple states a software update later this year will enable users with more than one HomePod to play music throughout their homes with multi-room audio via its new AirPlay 2 upgrade. The HomePod will be available in White or Space Gray and priced at $349 USD in the United States, £319 GBP in the United Kingdom, and $499 AUD in Australia.
