Summertime heat waves present a sweltering, staggering challenge for runners around the world, so adidas has presented the new UltraBOOST SUMMER.RDY, a model that’s ideal for warm weather runs. With a stripped-back design constructed of lightweight, environmentally conscious materials, the SUMMER.RDY tackles two issues at once — heat and sustainability — all while serving up a healthy helping of UltraBOOST comfort.

Rolling out in “Core Black/Signal Green,” “Cloud White/Glory Blue/Solar Red,” “Dash Grey/Signal Green” and another “Cloud White/Solar Red” with gold accents, the SUMMER.RDY uses a sustainable translucent monofilament knit upper that fans of the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 may be familiar with. However, unlike the popular casual style from Kanye West, these runners apply the material to the whole upper instead of just the midfoot stripe. The midfoot cage is gone as well, replaced by a printed Three Stripe graphic, though the heel cage does return.
Small UltraBOOST branding appears towards the forefoot and a rectangle-shaped hit lands on the tongue. The collar is cut slightly higher than other recent models like the UltraBOOST 20, and from certain angles the overall shape is somewhat reminiscent of the SPEEDFACTORY AM4. Full-length BOOST midsoles and Continental outsoles round the look off in style.
