'Deadpool & Wolverine' Surpasses $1 Billion USD at Global Box Office
The film is on track to overtake ‘Joker’ as the highest-grossing R-rated film in history.
Disney and Marvel‘s Deadpool & Wolverine has officially crossed $1 billion USD at the global box office.
The Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman-fronted film has earned a worldwide total of $1.029 billion USD from $494.3 million USD in North America and $535.1 million USD abroad. This marks the second Disney title of 2024 to hit $1 billion USD following Inside Out 2 ($1.558 billion USD), and is the 31st Disney film overall and 11th in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to achieve this feat.
As Variety reports, Deadpool & Wolverine is on track to dethrone Joker’s $1.07 billion USD record to become the highest-grossing R-rated film in history.
