Kali Uchis' 'ORQUÍDEAS PARTE 2' Deluxe Album Is Here
Bringing four new tracks to her second Spanish album, which initially released back in January.
Latin songstress Kali Uchis kicked off 2024 by dropping her second album in Spanish — ORQUÍDEAS. A sequel to 2020’s Sin miedo (del amor y otros demonios) ∞, ORQUÍDEAS saw Uchis team up with everyone from KAROL G to Rauw Alejandro, not to mention her popular collaboration with Peso Pluma on “Igual Que Un Ángel,” resulting in a 14-track project that was welcomed by fans as a change of sound from her 2023 hit Red Moon in Venus.
While ORQUÍDEAS has offered its own sound for the summer, Uchis announced that an ORQUÍDEAS PARTE 2 was en route at the start of the month. Its specifics weren’t shared, though a KAYTRANADA remix of “Young Rich & In Love” was teased. Now, it has arrived as a deluxe album, adding four tracks to the end of ORQUÍDEAS, while notably maintaining “Dame Beso // Muévete” as the closing song. The aforementioned remix of “Young Rich & In Love” from KAYTRANADA brings a fresh tempo to the track while the other three songs — “Adicto,” “Simple” and “Como Debe Ser” — are said to be demos, according to the LA Times.
