The Air Jordan 1 High Golf "Volt Gold" Electrifies the Links

Calling to mind a 2020 colorway with the same color blocking.

Although summer is winding down and the first fall-inspired sneaker colorways are starting to appear, temperatures continue to rise into the 90s in many parts of the country and several big moments on the golf calendar still remain. So perhaps Nike rolling out a new “Volt Gold” edition of the Air Jordan 1 High Golf is a timely reminder of the above.

Those who follow Jordan Brand‘s exploits in the golf sphere will remember a “Volt” colorway of the AJ1 Low G that dropped in late March ahead of the Masters Tournament. But sneaker enthusiasts are more likely to connect this release to the AJ1 “Volt Gold” from 2020, which is fair enough, because the color blocking follows that theme to a tee.

The forefoot is executed in simple black and white, the former accounting for the mudguards, Swooshes and eyestays and the latter coming into play on the quarter panels, toe boxes and tongues. Instead, the splashes of Volt and University Gold hit on the collar flaps, heels and insoles. In a diversion from the 2020 colorway, the 2024 golf version sees conventional tongue tabs printed with University Gold Jumpman logos. Final details include an all-black spikeless outsole and a change of white or black laces, each coming with volt-colored aglets.

Expect these to land in the coming weeks for $180 USD on Nike.com.
