As we dive into the second week of April, the world’s biggest footwear brands are pumping out a plethora of impressive releases to enhance your spring and summer sneaker rotations. Getting in on all of the action are brands like Nike, Jordan Brand and Under Armour, all of whom have new collaborations and inline specials to offer. And before we round those up for you, let’s first summarize what the top footwear headlines of last week were.

Let’s talk exclusives first, shall we? For our weekly Sole Mates series, we had a chinwag with the Pacheco brothers of Mofongo Kicks to talk about the impact that Latin artists are making in the footwear industry as well as their love for Bad Bunny’s adidas Forum Buckle Low and the Nike Lunar Force 1 “Area 72” colorway. News-wise, we caught a bunch of striking reveals from Nike. The forthcoming Run the Jewels x Nike SB capsule was officially unveiled along with Corteiz’s Nike Air Max 95 “Aegean Storm” colorway and Fat Joe’s Terror Squad x Nike Air Force 1 Low. Under that same company umbrella is Jordan Brand who captured our attention thanks to Luka Dončić debuting his Jordan Luka 2 and SD Custom Footwear showing off the Air Jordan 1 Hi ‘85 “Chicago” prop they made for the AIR film.

Other major headlines that popped up last week include official imagery of Action Bronson‘s New Balance 990v6 “Lapis Lazuli” collab, Salehe Bembury being appointed as Crocs’ Creative Director of Pollex Pod, Aimé Leon Dore announcing Iits New Balance 860v2 capsule and Supreme flexing its Penton Tassel Loafer team-up with Dr. Martens.

All caught up? Perfect. Take a spin through the top 10 footwear drops of the week here below, and when you’re all done there be sure to browse through our HBX online store to shop for more footwear styles.

Nike Dunk Low “Setsubun”

Release Date: April 11
Release Price: $120 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Nike has a penchant for showing other countries love through special footwear colorways, and next up on its agenda is the Dunk Low “Setsubun” makeup. Inspired by the Setsubun Festival that’s celebrated in Japanese culture, the sneakers are dressed to mimic festive foods such as roasted soybeans as well as powerful colors like the rich purple that lands on the Swooshes. It’s a tangible figure that represents health, wealth and good fortune.

MSCHF BWD

Release Date: April 11
Release Price: TBD
Where to Buy: MSCHF
Why You Should Cop: MSCHF has established itself in the footwear sphere as the envelope pusher. It caught the world by storm thanks to its BIg Red Boots and forced brands like Vans and Nike to pay attention thanks to its Old Skool and Air Force 1 look-alikes. And now it has generated another “What are those?” moment with its BWD silhouette that can be worn from the front and heel angles.

UNDERCOVER x Nike Moc Flow

Release Date: April 11
Release Price: $160 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Jun Takahashi has a longstanding partnership with Nike, and this year he’s kick started the next chapter of their collaborative footwear journey thanks to his range of Moc Flow collaborations. Next up for his UNDERCOVER takes are a “Black” and “Ale Brown” colorways, each of which come prepared with tonal, deboosed lateral branding as well as adjustable toggled entry systems.

Devin Booker x Converse Chuck 70 Hi

Release Date: April 12
Release Price: $95 USD
Where to Buy: Converse
Why You Should Cop: Devin Booker is a Converse Chuck 70 enthusiast. He’s always got them on during his pre-game tunnel walks and if you watched his Architectural Digest home tour video then you likely caught his shoe closet that’s replete with the model in a surplus of colorways. And so it’s fitting that Converse does right by him by giving him own Converse Chuck 70 Hi collab that comes styled in a tonal, cream palette. Uppers and midsoles are done up with an “Egret” complexion, and the heels of the right shoe feature an Arizona license plate.

Under Armour SlipSpeed

Release Date: April 13
Release Price: $150 USD
Where to Buy: Under Armour
Why You Should Cop: For folks that love functional, all-purpose footwear, you might want to check out Under Armour’s latest SlipSpeed silhouette. Whether you’re in need of a sneaker that can help you power through your HIIT workouts or an easy pair that you can slip on to run errands, this latest model is built for both. The convertible offering features a “crushable” heel, signature UA Flow foam compound, Iso-Chill technologies for keeping the inside of the shoe cool and an adjustable BOA® Fit System for fit adjustment when needed. Peep a look at its ultra-playful “Lime Surge/Pink Shock” colorway above.

Nike ACG Mountain Fly 2 Low “Laser Orange”

Release Date: April 14
Release Price: $150 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: As the weather gets hotter and more prime for trail hiking it’s best to make sure that you have a functional pair of sneakers on deck. Thankfully Nike is rolling out a collection of ACG Mountain Fly 2 Lows this season, one being this bold “Laser Orange” makeup. It’s equipped with foam-stuffed midsoles and crag-ready traction — the latter of which is inspired by tires — to help you comfortably walk, climb and run.

CLOT x Nike “CLOTEZ”

Release Date: April 14
Release Price: $150 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: After releasing via Juice stores last week, the OG-inspired CLOT x Nike “CLOTEZ” is seeing a wider launch via the SNKRS app. This two-way variation is reminiscent of the Coretz’ first every white, blue and red colorway that was made famous in the classic Forrest Gump film. Yin-and-yang symbols are printed on the insoles while CLOT’s signature logo makes its way onto the right shoe’s tongue.

Nike Air Max 1 “Mica Green”

Release Date: April 14
Release Price: $150 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Soft pastels tend to show more face when spring and summer hit, and so Nike is feeding into the seasonal shift by delivering its beloved Air Max 1 in a new “Mica Green” colorway. An emphasis is put on the materials here as the mesh underlays call out the silhouette’s original model from 1987 and its Swooshes and mudguards are treated with premium leather.

Bodega x Vault by Vans OG Chukka LX “Mid-Top Modern” Pack

Release Date: April 14
Release Price: $150 USD
Where to Buy: Bodega
Why You Should Cop: Bodega is beefing up its collaborative catalog this month by reuniting with Vault by Vans to bring an OG Chukka LX “Mid-Top Modern” Pack to the fore. Both takes are fitted with palettes inspired by mid-century interior design to call-out when Vans first entered into the footwear realm. One pair is fitted with suede to speak to the period’s rough-out material that surprised the pop culture realm while the other comes made with canvas to call-out workwear.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Lucky Green”

Release Date: April 14
Release Price: $180 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS and Tops & Bottoms
Why You Should Cop: In 2009, Jordan Brand released its Air Jordan 1 High “DMP” Pack, and one of the iterations was designed with a Celtics-inspired. Fast forward 14 years later, an iteration that resembles that offering is being launched: the Air Jordan 1 High “Lucky Green”. It follows the same exact “Black Toe” color-blocking with its titular shade standing out along the collars, laces, heels and outsoles and arrives with Nike tongue branding instead of Jumpman logos.
