Stüssy Announces New Fukuoka Chapter Store
Fukuoka is Stüssy’s seventh location in Japan, and its opening will be accompanied by a special T-shirt capsule.
Stüssy is expanding its footprint in Japan with the opening of a new Chapter Store in Fukuoka. Conceptualized by Stüssy’s longtime store design partner Perron-Roettinger — the design studio of Willo Perron and Brian Rottinger, who are also responsible for the brand’s stores in Shanghai, Nagoya and Kyoto — Stüssy Fukuoka offers a sleek, refined architectural style with a few pops of unique flair.
Fixtures are split between natural wood, shimmering steel and dark marble with touches of olive green around the dressing room. Rounding off the build are a large Bird of Paradise plant in the front window, a large art print towards the rear of the store and Stüssy’s familiar eight-ball graphic reimagined into a mirror in the dressing room. To celebrate the store’s opening, Stüssy has also produced four colors of a Fukuoka-exclusive t-shirt that’ll only be available in the store.
The brand’s seventh store in Japan — following Harajuku, Kyoto, Nagoya, Osaka, Shibuya and DSM Ginza — Stüssy Fukuoka is located at 2-5-13-Tenjin, Chuo-Ku, Fukuoka-Shi, Fukuoka 810-0001, Japan. It’ll throw open its doors on Friday, March 3 at 11 AM JST, and observe operating hours of 11 AM to 8 PM JST, Monday through Sunday.
