Cecilie Bahnsen Cooks Up Another ASICS Collaboration for FW23
Presenting two takes on the road-running GT-2160 sneaker.

You might want to put the rising Scandinavian designer Cecilie Bahnsen on your radar, as her eponymous label has debuted its sophomore collaborative collection with
Last season, Bahnsen and ASICS teased seven collaborative takes on the sportswear brand’s GEL-1090, GEL-1130, and GEL-NIMBUS silhouettes. Each was customized with shimmering floral embellishments and pearly touches, and as a surprise to her fans, the shoes dropped just a matter of weeks later.
Now, the duo presents two takes on the less-familiar ASICS GT-2160, a women’s road running sneaker that debuted in 2011. It’s famed for its DuoMax system, which sees the sole unit injected with harder foam than you’d typically find with ASICS’ sneakers, working hard to stop your foot’s arch from collapsing on a longer run.
Elsewhere, an extended Trusstic System provides ample amounts of stability, while two units of GEL have been added in strategic positions to, once again, enhance the running experience.
Cecilie Bahnsen’s touches include an all-black or silver-centric colorway, seeing both her pairs sport an intricate floral embroidered upper design. In addition, the designer also creates a flower-bearing strap that runs over the vamp.
Take an early look at the pairs above, and stay tuned to Hypebeast for more news about the release of these Cecilie Bahnsen x ASICS sneakers.
