Kicking off the year, it was made clear that Nike has kept the Cortez — a sneaker that is well-embedded in the Swoosh’s DNA — a priority. Following up on last year’s projects with Union LA and sacai on the silhouette, Edison Chen’s CLOT has transformed the model into the “CLOTEZ” — outfitting it in three colorways, including an OG look that was officially revealed today.

Now, Nike has revealed that its timeless black and white composition is returning to the Cortez. The versatile pair begins with its signature nylon base in black with suede overlays hitting the toe box, lacing system and heel. A silver dubrae offers a pop of color while white touches down on the leather Swooshes, tongue branding, heel tab and sole unit to complete the presentation.

At the time of writing, Nike has yet to disclose any details regarding the release of its black and white Cortez. We expect it to land on shelves via Nike and select retailers by the end of the year at a $100 USD price point, stay tuned for news of a release date.
