Last year, Nike leveled up its Air Max line with the introduction of the Air Max Scorpion. Since then, it’s taken on a variety of fresh colorways — arriving as part of the Swoosh’s Year of the Rabbit celebration and even finding itself equipped with protective gaiters. In continuation of its prominence within the Air Max lineup, black and red now cover the height-boosting sneaker.

Rocking one of Nike’s most iconic colorways, the Air Max Scorpion “Bred” steps up to the plate with black covering its Flyknit and chenille blended upper. Its linework-constructed Swooshes toggle between black and red stripes as hits of red also appear at the lacing system and branding elements placed at both the tongue and heel. The sneaker’s signature stacked sole unit sees a fusion of red and black ooze with a blood-like finish that completes the look.

Looking to grab a pair? A release date hasn’t been revealed by the Swoosh just yet, however, the Nike Air Max Scorpion “Bred” is expected to land on shelves in the coming weeks at a price of $250 USD via Nike and select retailers.

For more of the latest in the world of footwear, LeBron James’ all-purple Nike Air Zoom Generation PE has been officially revealed as a general release coming later this year.
