Louis Vuitton Announces Its Archlight 2.0 Sneaker
The lifestyle model gets updated with an experimental rubber platform outsole that’s inspired by moccasins, high boots and desert boots.
After unveiling its Summer 2023 Taigarama leather goods collection, Louis Vuitton is now rerouting its attention back to its footwear category. It’s been five years since the French luxury fashion house first introduced its innovative Archlight silhouette, so the time has come for it to receive an update. So this season, it’s expanding its lineage a sequel model: the Louis Vuitton Archlight 2.0.
The overall shape of the silhouette isn’t too dissimilar to what we’ve seen from its inaugural silhouette, but there’s been a few modifications that give it its own character. Designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, its new shape bears an experimental rubber platform outsole that keeps its arch in the center but arrives with a chunkier stature and more technical aesthetic. A fleet of colorways are on deck to hit the market in the coming months. Some of the stand-outs include a miltiary-esque drab olive makeup that’s created with knit uppers, a thigh-high boot-like variation, an all-black loafer-inspired iteration as well as a white colorway that is dressed with LV’s signature monogram patterns across its mudguards.
Parties that are interested in copping can find a select amount of colorways available right now via the Louis Vuitton web store for $1,450 USD-$2,050 USD.
In case you missed it, Louis Vuitton also announced its new Louis Vuitton Tambour Street Diver Chronograph watches.
