Update: An Official Converse x Liverpool FC Collaboration Has Been Presented
After a two-second teaser clip surfaced on social media.
Update: Converse and Liverpool Football Club have just presented their official collaboration following a two-second teaser clip between the pair surfaced on social media.
The new collection is an ode to the City of Liverpool, and it aims to champion the city’s creativity and diversity. The Northern city was titled the European Capital of Culture in 2008, thanks to its long-lasting history and affiliation with sport, fashion, and music — thanks to The Beatles — and now, the club’s new collection with Converse looks to encapsulate that in a modernized way.
Featuring nine new styles, each garment has been designed with LFC and Converse co-branding, with collection highlights coming in the form of a new letterman-inspired varsity jacket and understated knitwear designs. Additionally, a new iteration of Converse’s classic Chuck 70 high-top sneaker has been introduced and it is coated with Liver Birds, Sea Holly, and YNWA detailing.
Rounding off the collection, a new bucket hat, Run Star Hike sneakers, polo shirt, T-shirt, shorts, and coordinating tracksuit top and bottoms will also be available.
You can take a closer look at the new Converse x Liverpool FC collection above and it will be available to shop via the official Converse website from April 6.
Orignal Story: Converse and Liverpool Football Club have teased a new partnership, leading to speculation that an upcoming footwear — and/or — apparel collection could be on the way soon.
Liverpool has been busy in the world of fashion and footwear as of late, with this new Converse tease quickly following the club’s recent collaboration with LeBron James and Nike on a new Air Max 1 along with an impressive co-branded football and basketball jersey set.
This new Converse x Liverpool FC link-up surfaced after a two-second clip was posted on the Converse and LFC social channels, with the video showcasing the logos of both brands, layered over a collage of Liverpool ballers; Andy Robertson, Fabio Carvalho, and Shanice van de Sanden.
And while the collaboration has been widely welcomed by Liverpool and Converse fans alike, the partnership would see Converse step into the world of football like never before if a collaborative capsule came to light. Liverpool has been known as one of the biggest clubs in the world for some time now, winning the Champions League six times and the league division 19.
However, the same could be said for Liverpool in its latest basketball crossover. Converse first made its mark on the industry in 1917 when its first court sneaker was presented, and since, the brand has continued to unveil top-quality basketball attire such as the All Star BB Shift Monster Clash and All Star BB EVO NBA Jam sneakers.
