Emerging UK Label Florence Black Puts Tailoring First for SS23

Taking inspiration from 1960s Britain.

Emerging London-based brand Florence Black has just presented its latest collection for Spring/Summer 2023 and it sees the label continue to take inspiration from pre-1960s Britain to provide a selection of styles that can either be dressed up or down.

Florence Black was only launched in 2018, however, it has quickly found its lane as one of the most exciting contemporary brands in Britain with its intricate tailoring and high production value across its seasonal lookbooks. With this in mind, the imprint’s latest collection unveils a more modernized approach to 60s Britain with the line taking inspiration from Finn Lewis’ — Florence Black’s founder — childhood and love for streetwear.

This influence can be seen across the collection’s oversized shirting and cozy knitwear — and all of this is crafted in Italy and England-based fabric mills. Meanwhile, SS23 for Florence Black welcomes a broad color scheme with hues of “Caramel,” blue, grey, and “Mono Black-And-White” being used across a selection of pinstripe suit jackets — with matching trousers — and other highlights such as a 320 GSM vest, cropped boxy tees, and pleated jersey shorts.

You can take a closer look at the latest collection from Florence Black above and it is available to shop via the brand’s official website now.
