As adidas Basketball geared up for 2023, the unveiling of the “Remember The Why” apparel collection’s first chapter marked a distinct pivot in style. Straying away from the look of traditional performance gear, it initially was thought to have been designed in collaboration with Jerry Lorenzo due to its Fear of God-esque minimal presentation. It turned out that Lorenzo did not play an official role in its creation, indicating that adidas is instead ushering in a new era of basketball gear itself.

Spotted throughout the apparel capsule’s lookbook alongside its high-top counterpart, the adidas Rivalry Low 86 “Core White” is now hitting shelves. A throwback sneaker that fits into today’s styles neatly, the Rivalry Low 86 arrives in a leather upper with a white base supported by light gray at the Three Stripes, heel tab, midsole and tongue branding. Emphasizing its vintage appeal, a cream midsole and laces offer an aged effect.

For those interested in the adidas Rivalry Low 86 “Core White,” its release date of February 15 is just around the corner. The kicks are scheduled to be available via adidas and select retailers at a price of $110 USD.

In other footwear news, adidas Spezial’s Pre-Spring 2023 collection launched last week, featuring the adidas Italia SPZL in a denim-on-denim look.
