Samsøe Samsøe Heads to the City for SS23
Presenting a minimal capsule wardrobe of mix-and-match-appropriate essentials.
Samsøe Samsøe is rooted in Scandinavian sensibilities, simplicity, and stories, and now this trio of influences combines in the imprint’s new “City” editorial, highlighting its Spring/Summer 2023 collection “Gone Fishing.”
While structural simplicity is at the forefront of the SS23 range, there’s also an underlying sense of fun within the clothing. For example, the lookbook commences with a pastel-neon green and blue ribbed knitted polo shirt, acting as the leading transitional piece and the collection’s key year-round staple.
Likewise, soft boiled wool is used on a shrunken cardigan (tapping into trends we saw throughout the Fall/Winter 2023 fashion month period recently), while essentials like white tank tops are styled up with exposed boxer pants in orange, a hue that also underpins looks comprising check shirts worn over bright orange sweater vests and beneath puffed chore jackets.
Bringing the Scandi minimalism is khaki cargo pants, quarter-zips, lamb’s leather jackets, pleated skirts, and a black suit that all work together as a part of a capsule wardrobe, destined to be worn in a mix-and-match fashion as part of the all-encompassing Samsøe Samsøe wardrobe.
