New Balance Outfits the 550 in "Argon"
Keeping the silhouette in the spotlight.
For New Balance, the 550 has become such an essential silhouette in the brand’s offerings that it serves a similar role to Nike’s classic Air Force 1. As a result, a steady stream of colorways continue to hit the sneaker alongside collaborations with the likes of COMME des GARÇONS HOMME and Jack Harlow.
New Balance’s streak of 550 releases continues with an “Argon” makeover that features white, shades of blue, gray and off-white. The sneaker’s typical leather construction returns to the upper with white operating as its base color. A deep blue is found on the “N” logo, trim, heel and midfoot portion of the rubber outsole while a lighter blue hits the lateral 550 branding and portions of the heel, including the classic NB logo. Lastly, off-white supports the midsole design while gray rounds out the outsole’s color range.
A release date for the New Balance 550 “Argon” has not yet been shared. Take an official look at the colorway above and keep an eye out for it to hit New Balance and select retailers this year at a price of $110 USD.
In other footwear news, Patta has teased another collaboration with New Balance, this time taking on the 990v3 with shades of green.
