Ye to Stop Working With Corporate Partners After His adidas and GAP Contracts Expire
The multi-hyphenate plans to branch out and go solo with his creative ventures.

After going on a streak of publicly denouncing his two biggest brand partners in adidas and GAP, Ye appears to have found a solution to his creative roadblocks — going solo. In an exclusive interview with Bloomberg, the talented artist, designer, creative and everything in between confirmed that after his current contracts with the aforementioned companies run dry, he plans to take his product-related endeavors into his own hands.
“It’s time for me to go it alone,” Ye told Bloomberg. “It’s fine. I made the companies money. The companies made me money. We created ideas that will change apparel forever. Like the round jacket, the foam runner, the slides that have changed the shoe industry. Now it’s time for Ye to make the new industry. No more companies standing in between me and the audience.” Ye is still under contract with adidas through 2026 and GAP until 2030, which is still a sizable amount of time for each party to maximize their time working together, and you can certainly expect to see a plethora of YEEZY sneakers and GAP apparel collections roll out to the public.
Elsewhere in the interview, the Chicago native also confirmed that he plans to erect Donda campuses across the US which will host schools, farms, shopping and dorms. It will be hub for YEEZY-designed products unique to the imprint’s physical retail stores and online shops. YEEZY SUPPLY — his current e-commerce platform — will also continue to remain operating.
For other news, Ye recently teased the release of YR 3022 YZYGAP SHDZ.
