A Closer Look at the COMME des GARÇONS HOMME x New Balance 550 in "Black"
In continuation of the duo’s monochromatic looks.

A key relationship in New Balance’s collaborative repertoire is with Junya Watanabe’s COMME des GARÇONS HOMME. The duo has often provided monochromatic looks that elevate classic silhouettes with a designer touch. Earlier this year, a first look at the COMME des GARÇONS HOMME x New Balance 550 surfaced with “Black” and “White” colorways. Now, a closer look at the “Black” pair has arrived ahead of its Fall 2022 release.
In “Black,” this collaborative take on the 550 begins with a cowhide leather in black that encompasses nearly the entire upper. While the iconic New Balance “N” lands in black as well, a white outline accents the look. Hits of white are also found at the tongue, “550” branding on the lateral and collaborative branding that reads “CdGH new balance” at the heel. A black rubber outsole sits beneath a white midsole to complete this luxe take on the 550.
A release date has not yet been announced, however, the latest entry in COMME des GARÇONS HOMME x New Balance is expected to hit shelves October 2022 via select retailers such as Dover Street Market.
In other footwear news, another “Black” colorway is on its way courtesy of Teddy Santis’ MADE in USA line with the 990v2.
