New Balance 990v2 Gets Covered With Pink and Purple Overlays
Teddy Santis is ringing in the new year with another vivid 990v2 colorway.
New Balance already had momentum on its side before the appointment of Teddy Santis as one of its creative directors, but once the initiatives he helmed started to be released to the public, the brand was lifted to new heights. His trained eye for details and striking color palettes has paid off for the sportswear brand, and he’s poised to deliver more of that energy in 2023.
To ring in the new year, the ALD founder has plans to broaden the range of the New Balance 990v2 with a bold three-toned colorway. The mesh layers up top along with the surrounding smooth suede overlays are splashed with vivid pink and purple color-blocking. Tongues and laces are formed in white while brighter yellow hits apply to the N logos and interior liners, the latter of which give the lifestyle kicks a slight bit of Lakers-inspired personality. Downstairs, the ABZORB-cushioned midsole pieces are fashioned with creamy exteriors while the bottoms come dialed to a solid black hue.
