CHITO Will Unveil His First Solo Exhibition in Japan
On view at THE PLUG from December 2 to 18.

Following his recent mural created for Supreme Harajuku, CHITO is set to unveil his first solo exhibition in Japan at THE PLUG. The Seattle-born, Mexico-based artist has long been a mainstay within the world of fashion through a number of collaborations over the years, from Supreme to Givenchy, along with Veilance and the NFL.
TOUCH showcases a new body of work that CHITO specially made using barbed wire and Japanese washi paper. Teetering between tradition and obscurity, the artist adds his signature graffiti figures to cultivate a dialogue between the utility and fragility of the two mediums — imbuing a duality between work and play.
The exhibition will also feature new ‘Neo-Silk’ screen prints that reflect the evolution of the artist’s career. TOUCH will be on view at THE PLUG in Tokyo from December 2 to 18.
