First revealed in June, Salehe Bembury is continuing his triumphant collaborative run with New Balance by outfitting the 990v2 in a multicolored look of pink, orange and purple. The revered designer, best known for his much-anticipated footwear collaborations, expands on his journey with the brand after working with the likes of Vans, Moncler and Crocs earlier this year.
This take on the New Balance 990v2 sees the runner effectively utilizing its layered design as various colors appear throughout the mesh, suede and leather upper. Key co-branding details include a chenille “N” logo in purple, mini Salehe Bembury tag at the lateral, the silhouette’s typical tongue branding, a co-branded cork insole and special packaging for the project. While pink and peach outfit a majority of the upper, silver and purple also make an appearance alongside an orange ABZORB midsole and purple rubber outsole.
Release specifications for Salehe Bembury’s upcoming New Balance 990v2 collaboration have not yet been disclosed by either party. However, it is currently expected to land on shelves before the end of the year via New Balance and select retailers.
