Take an Official Look at the Angelo Baque x ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 "Rebirth of Cool"
Marking the debut of the Awake NY founder’s personal studio.
Angelo Baque is partnering with ASICS to release his take on the Gel-Kayano 14 shoe, dubbed the “Rebirth of Cool.”
Angelo Baque is an original member of Nom de Guerre and spent a decade at Supreme before creating his own label Awake NY. With two Awake NY x ASICS sneaker models under his belt, Angelo Baque launches the first collaboration product bearing his namesake, signaling the official launch of Angelo Baque Studios. His goal is to create something that feels contemporary while paying tribute to his family heritage and his NYC upbringing.
The Angelo Baque x ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 is dressed in the colors of the Ecuadorian flag, paying tribute to his parent’s homeland. Dark gray ripstop mesh lines the upper while metallic silver, burnt orange, and bright blue overlays give the shoe its unique character. The Asics logo runs across the side in gloss black and silver trim while the lateral heel features “AngeloBaque” in Awake NY’s signature font. Below, the ASICS’ signature GEL technology is sandwiched between a canary yellow and white mid-sole, giving the shoe an extra splash of color.
The sneakers will be available for $160 USD on July 30th, 12 p.m. EDT at Angelo Baque’s website.
