London’s Garbstore has revealed its collection for Spring/Summer 2022, mixing influences from across the 1960s and 1980s. Titled “Natural Utility,” the collection incorporates pieces from Garbstore itself, as well as its other in-house labels, The English Difference and Drop Out Sports.

The items from Garbstore focuses on a range of naturally-sourced organic fabrics — such as silk, hemp, linen, flax and cotton — which is used alongside high-quality Cordura and a special Camo fabric. For The English Difference’s pieces, Garbstore has looked to the history of its home in West London, and particularly the 1960s jazz beatnik movement which was born from the Mountain Grill Cafe in Ladbroke Grove. This ’60s influence is referenced through sleeveless vests, multi-colored striped sweaters and two-tone jumpers.

Rounding out the “Natural Utility” collection is the SS22 range from Drop Out Sports. Continuing the brand’s comfort and athletic influences, the collection is influenced by supermarket and convenience store uniforms in 1980s London, with items then constructed using 500g cotton from the only Camber machines in the UK.

The three collections from Garbstore, The English Difference and Drop Out Sports are all due to release later this year, and will be available from Garbstore and select stockists.

In other fashion news, Stüssy has debuted a new collaboration with Cactus Plant Flea Market.
