An Official Look at Patta's Upcoming 991 Collaboration With New Balance
Celebrating the 991’s 20th anniversary.

After images of a collaborative 991 surfaced over the weekend, Patta and New Balance have now shared an official look at their latest collab designed to celebrate the silhouette’s 20th anniversary.
The two labels are no strangers to working together after teaming up in 2019 as a part of New Balance’s “Runs in the Family” campaign, before introducing an autumnal 920 sneaker last year.
The first of the 99x series to boast an ABZORB window in the forefoot, as well as beneath the heel, the 991 was a sneaker ahead of its time when it was originally released in 2001. With a streamlined toebox and added comfort, the 991 became synonymous with New Balance’s wider family of performance running models at the time.
For 2021, the archetypal shape and detailing we’ve come to expect from a classic 991 remains, and has been dressed the sneaker in a clean “Cork” and “Light Petrol” colorway, alongside “Peach” and gray contrasting across the upper. The premium pigskin overlay is accompanied by a mesh, which houses New Balance’s “N” logo on the side wall, atop an ABZORB midsole. The outsole boasts the brand’s moniker, while a contrasting embroidered Patta logo can be found towards the rear.
The Patta x New Balance 991 is set to drop exclusively via the Patta webstore on January 22 13:00 CET, before a global launch on January 29.
