Sillage SS21 Mixes Antique Textiles With Hi-Tech Fabrics
The Tokyo-based label is back with another round of oversized silhouettes.
Sillage has delivered a brand-new set of goods from its Spring/Summer 2021 lineup. Similar to its earlier Fall 2020 releases, the Tokyo-based label has once again incorporated antique fabrics into the new pieces, displaying a colorful array of patchwork and embroidery, while including more hi-tech fabrics into the range as well.
The assemblage includes large bucket hats, oversized jackets, sweaters, T-shirts, blazers, loose trousers and anoraks to mention a few. Noteworthy pieces like baseball caps, bucket hats and varsity jackets have been constructed with vintage patchwork fabrics sourced from Thailand so each piece features a uniquely reconstructed pattern.
There’s a navy jacket that boasts a pattern of pointed blue, white and gray stripes at the back that resemble a large quilt. The pink and white baseball cap, features multi-colored paneling with traditional Thai embroidery. Other pieces in the range such as the fluorescent anorak or beige jackets, are built with a highly durable and water-resistant three-layer MU-TECH fabric, and MocT sweats round off the expansive assemblage.
The first drop of Sillage’s SS21 is currently available on the label’s website, ranging from ¥18,000 – ¥48,000 JPY (approximately $173 – $462 USD).
