As fans eagerly await the premiere of the delayed Godzilla vs. Kong, Warner Brothers and Legendary Pictures has finally issued an official trailer for the monster movie. The latest entry in Legendary’s “Monsterverse” sees the two cinematic titans going toe-to-toe with deadly results.
Directed by Adam Wingard (You’re Next and The Guest), Godzilla vs. Kong features a star-studded cast that includes Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry attempting to survive an all-out assault between the giant kaiju. As the humans dodge crumbling buildings and militaristic assaults, they attempt to unravel the mysterious forces clashing Godzilla and Kong against each other, lead by a young orphan girl who built a powerful bond with the giant ape.
With a screenplay and story provided by Eric Pearson, Max Borenstein, Michael Dougherty, Zach Shields and Terry Rossio (bringing in experience from Thor: Ragnarok, Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Kong: Skull Island), expect plenty of explosive CGI combat, as evidenced by the brief two-minute trailer above.
Visit Godzilla vs. Kong’s official site for more information on the film before it hits theaters and HBO Max on March 26.
