Lotte World has officially unveiled its plans to bring the legendary MonsterVerse to South Korea with Kong x Godzilla: The upcoming 4D multimedia dark ride will be a major addition to the Seoul-based theme park, reportedly replacing the park’s longstanding Jungle Adventure Boat Attraction.
Developed in direct collaboration with Legendary Entertainment and Toho—the intellectual property owners behind the iconic movie monsters—the attraction aims to fully immerse park-goers into the destructive scale of the cinematic universe. Lotte World CEO Kwon Oh-sang has confirmed that the project represents the park’s largest single monetary investment to date, underscoring the massive scale of the physical and digital infrastructure required for the ambitious undertaking.
To bring the colossal Titans to life in the physical space, the park has reportedly enlisted the expertise of dark ride specialists at Sally Corp to manufacture state-of-the-art practical figures. Industry rumors suggest the ride will feature an incredibly impressive, large-scale Kong animatronic built from the chest up, designed to physically loom over the ride vehicles. By combining high-definition multimedia screen integration with complex practical effects, the highly anticipated experience is poised to deliver an unprecedented level of immersion into the ongoing cinematic clash between the two iconic monsters.
