CW drops the first proper look at Superman & Lois in its long-awaited trailer.

The series is the latest addition to the Arrowverse and follows DC’s most iconic couple. Superman & Lois revolves around the famous superhero, The Man of Steel, also known as Clark Kent, and his journalist love interest, Lois Lane. Fans can expect both Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch to reprise their roles as DC Comics‘ Superman and Lois Lane respectively.

As the DC universe expands with Superman & Lois, the show focuses on how the couple deals with the everyday pressure that comes with being a working parent in today’s society. However, added complexities are explored as Clark and Lois navigate the potential of their sons inheriting Superman’s Kryptonian superpowers. Supporting characters, Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and Kyle Cushing (Erik Valdez) also return to the screen to add to the storyline. The trailer appears to show Clark and Lois’s family returning and getting reacquainted with the idyllic Smallville. Unfortunately, events take a turn when a mysterious stranger, played by Wolé Parks, enters the picture.

The series is produced in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television. Greg Berlanti and Todd Helbing are serving as executive producers of the series, alongside Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns.

Superman & Lois premiers on Ferbuary 23 on The CW. The network plans to devote the entire night to the drama series in an extended 90-minute series premiere, followed by a half-hour special, Superman & Lois: Legacy of Hope, which features interviews and sneak peeks from the cast. The Flash, which was originally scheduled to premiere the same night, will now air one week later on March 2.

In case you missed it, A Quiet Place Part II has a new release date.
