Teyana Taylor Delivers New "1800-One-Night" Music Video
An homage to 90’s late night phone hotlines.
Teyana Taylor shared her long-awaited third studio project The Album on Juneteenth with the lead singles “Made It” and “We Got Love.” The effort was an expansive 80 minutes long and through 23 track, the G.O.O.D. Music singer-songwriter gave more than enough reasons to celebrate her return to form from a long two year hiatus.
After offering her support for the Black Lives Matter movement with her “Still” music video, Teyana returns today with another video for her “1800-One-Night” track. The “Spike Tey Joint” follows a group of call girls in their cubicles seemingly bored on the job and then cuts to Teyana dancing in a private phone booth. Her dedicated performance stands in stark contrast to the other ladies simply passing the time while flipping through gossip mags and drinking champagne. The visual also centers around the now defunct late night adult-themed phone hotline informercials.
