atmos and adidas Originals' Latest ZX Alykne Transports Us To "Neo Tokyo"
An iridescent 3M upper mimics the Tokyo night sky.
In July this year, atmos and adidas Originals came together for the limited-to-100 ZX Alkyne “Crazy Animal,” and for its latest release, the Three Striped brand has tapped atmos once more for a “Neo Tokyo” colorway.
The adidas Originals ZX Alkyne “Neo Tokyo” is exclusive to atmos and, like its predecessor, it really offers a lot of visual stimulation and plenty of worthy talking points. Firstly, this is adidas Originals’ latest ZX sneaker and it comes with a full-length TPU-insulted BOOST midsole that is branded on the rear-quarter in red lettering. The sole is shaped like it’s ready for a game of basketball, and it is finished with “Neon Pink” highlights on the outsole.

Elsewhere, the shoe’s entire upper has been made from a reflective 3M material that is designed to mimic the Tokyo night sky. Iridescent panels have been used on the front and rear thirds to split up the shoe and give it more structure, while a black cage at the rear has been added as a nod to the sneaker’s ZX heritage.
To round out the ZX Alkyne, atmos and adidas Originals have given the shoelaces the speckled 3M treatment, which are finished with pink lace locks complete with atmos branding. Lastly, “Tokyo” has been printed all over the insoles as a final nod to the city.
