Doug DeMuro Reviews Suki's Supercharged Honda S2000 from '2 Fast 2 Furious'
No bridge jumping was performed.
Doug DeMuro has just reviewed a 2001 Honda S2000. Not just any S2K, but the bright pink one driven by Suki (Devon Aoki) in the film 2 Fast 2 Furious. The sports convertible has been rigged up for filming with a fuel cell in the rear, theatrical gauges and a relocated rear-view mirror to prevent the obscuring of the driver’s face.
The S2000 is far from stock with a suspension upgrade, a full candy-pink airbrush graphic by Noah Elias, a Veilside Millenium body kit, 18” Motegi Racing wheels, and the most surprising upgrade, a Comptech supercharger. DeMuro points out that the car is actually quite a bad drive as much of the car has been changed to look good on camera, but up close, you can tell it was thrown together quickly for the movie. Details like the lack of seatbelts, upholstery made from bathroom rugs, non-functioning NOS buttons and gauges, paint overspray, and the misaligned Sparco steering wheel are a big turn off for the car, but it is still interesting to see how a film car, especially one used in such a big film, was put together.
