Off-White™ c/o Virgil Abloh Announces Performance Line, "OFF ACTIVE"
Expanding on its range of offerings.
Expanding its reach to cover the boundaries between sport, fashion and art, Virgil Abloh‘s Off-White™ label has now launched its performance line, “OFF ACTIVE.”
Designed for modern living, the offerings center around a look that exists from atelier to the gym, tailoring to sport, runway to performance.
Merging styles and aesthetics, the menswear and womenswear utilize technical fabric and garment construction, exclusively made for functionality. Core items include sweatshirts, active tops, sports bras, shorts, leggings and socks expressing a bold color palette. Rounding up the inaugural range are gym bags embossed with the official OFF ACTIVE logo, along with similarly marked a duffle and drawstring bag.
To celebrate the launch of “OFF ACTIVE,” Off-White™ enlisted photographer and filmmaker Aidan Zamiri to create a visual around different understandings towards the meaning of “being active.” The evocative expression sees dancers Calm Zulu and Jakub Franasowicz expand on the of Off-White™ belief that “Athleticism isn’t about performance. It’s about being active in your own way. Freeing your body makes you active.”
The “OFF ACTIVE” performance line is available now on Off-White™’s website and at Farfetch, a wider release at Off-White™ brand stores will come in September.
