Aminé Teams up With Young Thug for New "Compensating" Single
His album ‘Limbo’ is expected to drop August 7.
After releasing visuals for his Rihanna tribute, Aminé has shared a new single titled “Compensating” from his upcoming full-length studio album Limbo. Featuring Young Thug, the track sees the pair trading verses over a minimal but bouncy beat. “I f*cked up once again/And you know that I’m never too proud to beg,” Aminé raps. “It’s hard to admit that I’ve made my bed/And you know imma always wish you the best.” “Compensating for your feelings/And you know the feeling,” he continues. “This is what you thought would heal it/But it makes you feel it.”
“I was in Toronto working with T-Minus on this song and I put the hook together and then Minus told me he had a session with Thug and he thought that we would mesh well together on this song,” Aminé told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe about linking up with Young Thug for the track. “The only time I’ve ever met Thug before that was I was in Europe and he walked up to me at some festival, I think where it was way out west or some, and he walked up to me and called me a young legend and I never forgot that moment. I never forgot that moment.” The track is the third single from Limbo, following “Shimmy” and “Riri.”
Listen to “Compensating” for yourself and expect Limbo to drop August 7 via Republic Records.
