New Balance and Oregon rapper Aminé have officially announced the Aminé x New Balance 992 “Outdoor School”. First reported by Mario Briguglio, the collaborative project marks the artist’s debut MADE in USA release, drawing direct inspiration from his nostalgic experience attending the MESD Outdoor School program as a sixth grader in Oregon.
Constructed in rich shades of reddish brown, the upper combines breathable mesh, premium suede, and patent leather overlays. Custom branding appears throughout the silhouette, featuring Club Banana logos on the tongues, heel branding, and specialized graphics printed across the insoles that reference the Outdoor School curriculum.
Every pair arrives with themed accessories derived from Aminé’s childhood memories, anchored by a wooden “wood cookie” hangtag stamped with “Horizon Cabin.” The hangtag can be decorated with an included set of charms shaped like a frog, compass, whistle, slug, and fish. Completing the release, the shoe box is specially designed to mimic a traditional fishing tackle box.
