Star Wars Celebration 2020 and 2021 Cancelled
Citing coronavirus concerns.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, many events have now been cancelled, including San Diego Comic-Con and E3. Fortunately for some, a few companies or organizers have arranged online alternatives, but not all are so lucky. The latest to fall victim to the wave of cancellations is Star Wars Celebration, originally scheduled for the Anaheim Convention Center in August.
“At Star Wars Celebration, the health and safety of our fans, attendees, exhibitors, guests and staff is always our number one priority,” says a statement from the event. “Due to the global impact of the COVID-19 virus and in speaking with local and state authorities on the latest public health guidelines related to indoor conventions, we have made the decision to cancel Star Wars Celebration for 2020.” However, it seems that even the 2021 event has been cancelled as well, as the statement continues to read: “we are happy to announce that Star Wars Celebration will return to the Anaheim Convention Center on August 18-21, 2022.”
There’s currently no word from the organizers as to why the 2021 event has been cancelled, but those who wish to learn about refunding their tickets can head over to the event’s website to learn more.
Elsewhere in entertainment, Jurassic World: Dominion has now resumed production.
