The Berrics Tests The Limits of Fastest Skateboard Tricks
“20 miles an hour of an varial flip.”
The Berrics is testing the limits of some familiar faces in skateboarding. As part of its “How Fast Can” series, the indoor skatepark has challenged a flurry of riders to see how fast they’re able to do a trick. This follows a video that The Berrics put out back in April called “Best of Battle Scars,” showing a compilation of hilarious and equally terrifying skateboarding slams.
Cutting right to the chase, the video starts off with an intense montage of skateboarders falling in a number of unique ways, until abruptly interrupted by the video’s title — “THE FASTEST TRICKS EVER DONE AT THE BERRICS.” The first person to attempt a fast trick is Ryan Alvero, who actually manages to land one. “20 miles an hour of [an] varial flip,” says Eric Koston as he checks the number on the speed gun. Later on, Yoon Sul goes around the park challenging others to perform their trick of choice, like fakie flips, 50/50s, ghetto birds, backside flips and heel flips, all of which turn out to average at around 20 – 25 miles per hour, by people like Mason Silva, Louie Lopez, Nick Garcia, Dane Burman, Aurelien Giraud, Maurio McCoy and Blake Johnson — Koston makes an attempt, too.
