Mizuno Brings Back the Wave Rider 10 in OG Colorway
The classic 2007 runner is back in its original colorful form.
Mizuno‘s exclusive Kazoku line has revived the OG Wave Rider 10, bringing the high-performance running shoe back to market in its original colorway for the first time ever. First released in 2007, the Wave Rider 10 is a benchmark for much of the Mizuno running footwear that came after, and has recently made inroads in the lifestyle sphere with Wood Wood and BEAMS collaborations.
Putting its sporty glory on full display, the OG Wave Rider 10 boasts a breathable white mesh upper that’s overlaid with abstract-shaped strikes of metallic silver and hot red. Mizuno’s Runbird logo appears on the quarter, and is dressed in a digital print that mixes black, red and blue shades. Although the Wave Rider 10 was conceptualized and designed strictly for performance wear, its bold embellishments make it an apt lifestyle choice for fans of classic running silhouettes.
Touches of navy grace the heel, collar and tongue badge. Down below, the white EVA foam midsole houses the tech that gives the shoe its name: a silver TPU “Wave” plate in the heel that provides springy, responsive cushion and energy return, all while aiding with a smooth toe-off. Black rubber outsoles finalize the look.
The Mizuno Wave Rider 10 OG will release on June 13, exclusively at Kazoku stores like Sneakersnstuff, Afew and Footpatrol. The MSRP is set at $140 USD.
