IAB-Studio x ASICS GEL-Venture 6 “AI-1”

IAB-Studio and ASICS have returned with a closer look at their collaborative GEL-Venture 6, a follow up to their first unveil from last month. Brainchild of South Korean rapper Beenzino, IAB-Studio’s minimalist aethetics are being added to ones of ASICS’ classic running shoe.

Starting at the top of the silhouette is a gray leather patch stamped with ASICS’ logo, placed over a breathable mesh tongue. Smooth silver-toned full-grain leather panels take up a considerable portion of the shoe’s body, appearing at the eyelets, throatline, sidewalls and toecap. Bright yellow ripstop fabrics are woven at the heel and rear quarter, sitting adjacent to a textured heel support that sports “GEL-Venture 6” and “IAB-Studio” branding. Furthermore, thin streaks of red and blue lines accent the shoe’s signature sidestripes, while an articulated white GEL-cushioned midsole rounds up the sneaker’s futuristic design.

The IAB-Studio x ASICS GEL-Venture 6 will be available for raffle on June 11 on ASICS Korea’s website.
