First Trailer for 'Bill & Ted: Face the Music' Shows the Duo Partying Into the Future
Slated to arrive in theaters this summer.
Orion Pictures released the first trailer for Bill & Ted: Face the Music, the third installment of the film series starring Alex Winter as Bill and Keanu Reeves as Ted. The footage above finds the teenage stoners now as adults, traveling through the temporal plane once again to save the world, and this time, steal from themselves.
Face the Music comes 29 years after Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, where the duo is once again approached by a visitor from the future and sent off to save the world. It appears the only way to unite the world is through the perfect song, a song they will someday create. They then hatch a plan to steal the perfect song from themselves in the future.
The project also stars William Sadler reprising his role as Death from Bogus Journey, Samara Weaving, and Brigette Lundy-Paine joins the cast as Bill and Ted’s daughters, while Kid Cudi, Anthony Carrigan and SNL star Beck Bennett join as additional characters. The writers of the original 1989 Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure film, Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, also penned the script.
Although Orion Pictures states that the film will arrive this summer due to coronavirus and the uncertainty of theatrical releases, Bill & Ted: Face the Music is slated to hit theaters on August 21.
