Hannibal Buress Announces New Special 'Miami Nights'
Tackling his arrest in 2017.
Hannibal Buress has announced his upcoming stand-up special, Miami Nights.
Directed by Kristian Mercado and produced by Isola Man Media, Miami Nights will see Buress talk about his arrest during Art Basel Miami in 2017. The incident, which was captured on the Miami police officer’s body camera and used in the special’s trailer, saw the actor/comedian/musician get arrested on public intoxication charges after yelling provocatives into the camera. The charges were later dropped.
Buress shared the announcement on social media, along with an October 2018 article from the Miami New Times detailing a report about how the same police officer “without provocation, violently choked” a civilian in a bar just before Buress’ own arrest.
