Tory Lanez Returns With New "Temperature Rising" Slow-Jam
His first independent release following his split with Interscope earlier this year.
Freshly independent artist Tory Lanez is undoubtedly having the best run of his career. Today he releases another strong single titled “Temperature Rising,” slowing down the pace for a sensual love ballad meant to be played behind closed bedroom doors.
The Toronto superstar ended 2019 by dropping flips of classic 2000s R&B jams with Chixtape 5 (featuring outstanding cover art starring the one and only Ashanti). That project debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, ultimately securing the No. 1 spot. Then he announced the end of his Interscope deal with The New Toronto 3. Think of it as his own version of If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.
After his incredibly popular Instagram Live series at the top of the coronavirus quarantines morphed into his Quarantine Radio imprint, he continued to hold down his fans around the world cooped up inside their homes with his Social Distancing Tour. He’s been so active during the past few months that it’s hard to keep track of all of Tory’s accomplishments from his Buju Banton collaboration to his “Who Needs Love” and “Dope Boy’s Diary” music videos.
“Temperature Rising” was produced by Super Miles and DopeBoyzMusic and is mysteriously credited under One Umbrella Records. Stream the single below. In more music updates, Future returned with his eighth studio album High Off Life earlier today featuring an all-star cast consisting of some of the biggest names in hip-hop.
