Nike Air Max 95 Stacks Up the Color With Gold and "Pinksicle" Tones
Perfect for sunny summer days.
Full of bright sunshine and warm temperatures, summer is an optimal season to break out bright and colorful footwear — so Nike Sportswear has served up the Air Max 95 in an eye-catching “University Gold/Pinksicle.” Combining a bold color palette that’s almost Nike ACG-esque with a mix of leather, suede and mesh, these Nike shoes were decidedly crafted with sunny days in mind.
When designer Sergio Lozano first conceptualized the Air Max 95, he drew inspiration from the human anatomy for its layered side panels. Here, the tendon-like pieces are dressed in gold and pink suede towards the throat plus black and blue leather by the midsole. Pink leather toe caps hold everything together, and the upper’s bottom layer is built from gold mesh and suede.
Pops of blue are present on the throat cage and eyestays. These sit above a yellow tongue with a black-and-pink oval Air Max badge. Further touches of branding arrive via a black Swoosh on the rear lateral side and a black heel piece with a Nike Air graphic. On the lower half, a white EVA foam midsole splits its Air Max units between blue in the forefoot and pink in the heel. Black outsoles finish off the look.
The Nike Air Max 95 “University Gold/Pinksicle” is available now via the Nike webstore, and is priced at $160 USD.
