New 'Tony Hawk's Pro Skater' Gameplay Reveals 6 Returning Skaters
The latest remastered versions of ‘THPS’ 1 and 2 has more to offer.
Activision and Vicarious Visions Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 remake will bring back classic skaters and stages from the original game, which is highlighted in the newly released gameplay video above.
The footage showcases six returning pro skaters from the original game alongside their stats. These skaters include Andrew Reynolds, Geoff Rowley, Elissa Steamer, Chad Muska, Steve Caballero, and Tony Hawk himself. Each skater performs various tricks in the video, displaying the return of the original title’s physics and mechanics, which was pulled directly from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater‘s code and fine-tuned for this remake. Stages like the Warehouse and the School stages are also shown.
Lastly, in the stats for each player, it is shown that everyone has a NeverMongo push style, which means they all push with their forward foot properly. It’s also worth mentioning the footage features the game in native 4K and in 60 frames per second.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 is slated to release September 4 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. As of now, there’s no word on if the title will appear on the Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X.
