Che Ecru Delivers Smoky 'PREJECTION' Mixtape
A diverse spread of R&B tones across seven tracks.

Following March’s Still Single, Che Ecru delivers another full-length release. PREJECTION is showcases Ecru’s versatility across seven songs, drawing from a host of tonally distinct sounds.
Self-produced the whole way through, Che Ecru’s latest mixtape is a sonic exploration across the entire R&B soundscape. Moody guitar strums and rumbling bass on “Put It Down” gives way to the soulful noodling, ambulance siren sounds and rubbery tones of “Somebody Else,” abetted by Carrie.‘s vocals. Reggaeton influence inform the stop-start rhythm of “IN THE NIGHT,” a stark contrast to the sparse vocals in “FALLING,” accompanied solely by Ecru’s gossamer strums. The album wraps on “PROVIDE,” a skittering hit of poppy R&B, complete with a persistent flute-like hook.
