New Trailer for Christopher Nolan's 'TENET' Teases More Time-Bending Espionage
The trailer originally premiered on ‘Fortnite.’
The latest trailer for Christopher Nolan’s highly-anticipated espionage film TENET has arrived. The world premiere of the new trailer happened on Fortnite, where it was displayed on the big screen of the popular game’s Party Royale mode. Creative director of Epic Games, Donald Mustard, revealed that Nolan had approached him about creating an environment that mirrored a movie theater for the debut.
The Warner Bros. film stars John David Washington and Robert Pattinson as undercover agents who embark on a time-warping mission to prevent World War III. Co-stars include Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kenneth Branagh, Michael Caine, and more. For the film, Nolan reunited with Dunkirk and Interstellar cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema for TENET, with a soundtrack provided by Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson. The trailer expands on much of the same principles as introduced in the first trailer, but slowly takes off the veil of the complex world-building Nolan has underscored in the film.
Hollywood has been exceedingly-focused on TENET’s release over the past few months, with it expected to be the first major tentpole to hit theaters as they begin re-opening. “[Nolan] really would like to be coming out with the film that opens theaters,” IMAX CEO Richard Gelfond shared with Variety. “I don’t know anyone in America who is pushing harder to get the theaters re-opened and to get his movie released than Chris Nolan.”
