Megan Thee Stallion Recruits Major Lazer for Latest "Savage" Remix
Diplo adds his signature electronic touch to Meg’s hit single.
Megan Thee Stallion‘s “Savage” has been an undeniable hit. The original track made it all the way to the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and then was blessed with two verses from Beyoncé on the “Savage” Remix in which the international superstar referenced OnlyFans and credit card scamming. It was an undeniable moment in which the two flexed their Houston connection. The remix could very well be one of the biggest songs of the year. Now Megan continues that momentum, teaming up with Major Lazer for another remix of her SUGA standout.
The EDM trio comprised of Diplo, Walshy Fire and Ape Drums add their signature electronic flare with upbeat drums, an addicting bass-line and some vocal samples for an original twist. Megan’s vocals get re-arranged and remixed with a filter to match the beat. It will immediately inspire head-nodding and definitely has the potential to turn your living room into an impromptu dance party.
Megan’s latest single follows her self-directed “Captain Hook” music video and her memorable collaboration with Phony Ppl on “Fkn Around.” SUGA was also released through a little bit of label turmoil, as the Houston rapper accused her 1501 Certified Entertainment of shady business practices. Luckily, she ended up releasing the nine track project regardless of the feud.
