ASICS has unveiled a brand new take on its GEL-PTG MT. Following its fleece-tinged iteration from back in November, the Japanese footwear label has opted for an asymmetrical design of the silhouette this time around.

Starting at the top of the shoe is bold “ASICS” branding stamped over a bed of white nylon, completed by slim tonal laces. To contrast the sleek fabric of the tongue, the rest of the shoe’s uppers come in creamy light beige nubuck. The lateral side of the shoe sees ASICS’ logo stripes in white, while the stripes on the medial side is set in black. Light blue and olive top-stitching appear along the tail end of the stripes, accompanied by subtle red accents at the midsection. Furthermore, the shoe comes with hidden zippers along the medial side so that wearers can easily slip their feet in. All of these details sit atop a retro ecru-toned midsole, rounding up the sneaker’s throwback look and feel.

The ASICS GEL-PTG MT “FASTENER” will be available on May 9 on atmos’ website for $150 USD.
